Welcome to Trailblazers!

Before you can begin working with your mentee we will spend the first week of school here at Pioneer.  We will go over some basic dos and don'ts for working with your elementary mentees and the foundational responsibilities you have as a Pioneer Trailblazer.  Our goal is to have you placed at your elementary school some time the second week of school.  Be patient.  You may just observe and help in classrooms for up to another week.  Teachers and principals need time to see who is new to their class and make good choices about the match between you and your mentee.

  • Who gets a TB – How are they selected?  Write your answers on a 3x5 card.

Please write a summary of the article and then discuss what you need to keep in mind about the 7% rule as you interact with your mentee.  One page.  Due Monday.
