Mentor/Mentee Match
The match between the Pioneer Mentor and Elementary Mentee is critical to the Trailblazer program. The ideal match is one Mentor to one Mentee every day of the week. That way, Mentors and Mentees have ample time to build a bond that can be leveraged for academic success. Trailblazers should not be used as a rotating "reward" for kids to have time with a "cool" high school student. Each match should be for a specific reason with outcomes that further the educational success of the elementary student. If instructional time and/or specials get in the way of meeting every day, a different Mentee might be a better choice. Trailblazers should NOT become classroom aids that rotate to different kids each day. The Pioneer Mentors are expecting to invest in ONE Mentee and to help make a difference in his/her academic life! Mentors should have activities/work to do with their Mentee every day.
Mentor/Mentee Match Form
Use this form to record each Mentor/Mentee match. We are looking for a 1-to-1 match. Those are always the most effective matches for both the Mentor and Mentee.

T-Shirt Order FormUse the T-Shirt order form link to order you T-Shirts for the 2016 Field Trip. Make sure you order shirts for the adults that will accompany your students on the field trip to Pioneer. Do NOT order shirts for the Pioneer Mentors. Orders are due by the beginning of Spring Break!
Please ask if your PTSO can donate some money for the shirts. The Pioneer kids fundraise all the money to pay for the end of the year trip, so anything helps! Field Trip to Pioneer is May 17th! |
