• With a computer and in small groups: Begin Day 1 of Interpreter of Maladies Retelling the Story 2018
• We will work on this project the rest of the week!
• Decide whose (someone in the story) scrapbook this will be - Google Scrapbook slides or GoogleDoc templates
(Think point of view! Choose Mr. Kapasi, Mrs. Das, Mr. Das, etc.)• Create a Scrapbook in the form of a slideshow.
• Interested in the Indian Partition? This is a good (albeit long) article:
• The Great Divide - The violent legacy of Indian Partition. Print and T4 for up to 5 pts extra credit.
Homework:
• Read Interpreter of Maladies - You will need to know the story for Day 2

• Discuss Interpreter of Maladies
• Day 2 of Interpreter of Maladies Retelling the Story 2018
Goal: Capture the story from one character's perspective using images and text.
• Cover all of the items on the “Study Guide” in some way.
• Use language from the story
• Be creative!
• Share with me when you are finished.
• Scrapbook Example: Derek, Kelvin, Hamza
• Turn in HERE when you are done.
• Begin Study Guide/Reading Real Durwan. Extra credit if you include pictures and definitions for the front of the study guide
